Dr. McNally and colleagues in the University of Tennessee Vascular Surgery Division are conducting a clinical trial investigating the anti-inflammatory properties of a polyherbal supplement and its potential benefit in patients with peripheral arterial disease. Previous studies at the Graduate School of Medicine have shown this polyherbal supplement to have a positive impact on preventing complications often encountered in the healing of arteries after vascular treatment. This translational research project has the potential to benefit a large number of patients who receive treatment for vascular disease.
