Welcome to the Alumni Page of the Department of Surgery, a testament to the enduring excellence of our graduates. Rooted in a tradition of academic prowess and dedicated to providing exceptional clinical experiences, our department equips residents to emerge as leaders in private practice and academia. With a focus on fostering critical thinking, one-third of our residents pursue fellowship training, while a quarter embark on successful academic careers. Our General Surgery residency offers diverse surgical experiences and research opportunities, and we take immense pride in the accomplishments of our graduates. Committed to delivering top-tier surgical education through high-quality patient care, teaching, and research, our department aims to ensure the highest standards across all specialties. We actively cultivate a dynamic and supportive environment for faculty development, emphasizing a dedication to education among our faculty. Join us in celebrating the achievements of our alumni and staying connected with the vibrant community that is the UTGSM Department of Surgery.
