Course Overview

Faced with an aging population, new developments in technology and treatment options, it will be increasingly important for the health care provider to stay up-to-date on the latest trends in the medical community.  The Third Annual Medicine Conference will address new developments and trends in relevant areas such as heart failure, chronic pain, EKG interpretation, skin conditions and proper joint injection among others.

This course is designed for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses and pharmacists treating primary care patients.

cid:image002.jpg@01D03657.017AE3F0     The University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.  Successful completion of this application-based program will provide a statement for seven (7.0) live contact hours credit (0.7 CEUs) and will be mailed within 3 weeks following the program.  Successful completion includes attending the session, signing the attendance sheet, and completion of the program evaluation form.   CE credit will also be submitted to the NABP CE Monitor.

Please Note: ACPE credit is only available for Friday sessions; however, pharmacists are welcome to attend the entire conference.

Grievance Policy:  A participant, provider, faculty member or other individual wanting to file a grievance with respect to any aspect of a program provided or co-provided by the UTCOP may contact the Associate Dean for Continuing Education in writing. The grievance will be reviewed and a response will be returned within 45 days of receiving the written statement.  If not satisfied, an appeal to the Dean of the College of Pharmacy can be made for a second level of review. 

PAs, NPs and Nurses: Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners and Nurses may use these credit hours toward certification renewal.  This credit is acceptable by the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), American Nurses Credentialing Association (ANCC) and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
