New Undergraduate Medical Education Leadership Announced

healing Dean Paul J. Hauptman, MD, announced that William Metheny, PhD, and Paige Johnson, MD, have agreed to serve as leaders in the oversight and further development of undergraduate medical education programs at the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine.

In addition to his current responsibilities as Assistant Dean of Graduate Medical Education, Dr. Metheny will serve as the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Medical Education and Dr. Johnson as the Assistant Director. Dr Metheny is also currently the Designated Institutional Official for GME accreditation. He joined the UT Graduate School of Medicine in 2007. Dr. Johnson is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Clinical Clerkship Director and a recent graduate of the prestigious Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (APGO) Academic Scholars and Leaders program. She began practicing at The University of Tennessee Medical Center after completing her residency in obstetrics and gynecology with UTGSM.
