Application Information

Program Qualifications

Criteria for selection to the University of Tennessee Medical Center program includes

1. National Board Exam, Parts I and II, scores above national average

2. Placement in top 20% of dental school class

3. Research experience or postgraduate education considered

4. Graduate of an accredited North American dental school

5. Eligible for a state dental license

6. Non-U.S. (excluding Canada) candidates must:

   • Be proficient in the English language
   
   
   • Have a U.S. dental license

PASS Application Requirements

The General Practice Residency Program participates in the Postdoctoral Application Support Service (PASS).

Candidates should provide PASS with the following:

1. Transcript and Academic Records

2. National Board Scores

3. Dean's Letter of Recommendation

4. Two Letters of Recommendation from Graduate School Faculty
