The University of Tennessee Medical Center Cancer Institute and the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine Present:
Dollywood's DreamMore Resort and Spa
Pigeon Forge, Tennessee
REGISTRATION AT CAPACITY - NO ON-SITE REGISTRATION AVAILABLE
Physicians and non-physician primary care providers have a central role in cancer prevention and control services. Yet, relatively little attention has been given to their needs for continuing medical education (CME) that clarify or update screening guidelines to include genetic counseling, enhance recognition of signs or symptoms of cancer, and addressing therapeutic agents such as new targeted therapies in patients treated for cancer.
The American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (CoC) is strongly encouraging member institutions to provide more emphasis on a cohesive, comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to each individual cancer patient. This conference will help identify those opportunities, strategies, and controversies presented to the clinical teams caring for patients with lung cancer, breast cancer, metastatic cancer to the liver, and soft tissue sarcomas.
At the conclusion of this program, the participants should be able to:
Formulate new therapeutic options for the treatment of lung cancer, breast cancer, metastatic cancer to the liver, and soft tissue sarcomas
Evaluate diagnostic and treatment in lung cancer, breast cancer, metastatic cancer to the liver, and soft tissue sarcomas
Describe recent updates and current controversies in the multidisciplinary management of patients with lung cancer, breast cancer, metastatic cancer to the liver, and soft tissue sarcomas
Identify creative strategies for collaboration with primary care professionals on overall coordination of patients' cancer care especially for survivorship
Identify opportunities to impact health care disparities through collaboration, education outreach, and creating unique treatmentand survivorship paradigms
The registration fee covers all sessions, online access conference materials, continuing education credit, breakfasts, lunch on Friday, self-parking at the resort. After June 29, 2018, the registration fees will increase $50 and again after August 24, 2018.
