The Future of Breast Cancer: An Education Conference February 6

The Future of Breast Cancer: An Educational Conference, will be held on Saturday, February 6, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Morrison's Conference Room. The featured speakers for this event are Jillian Lloyd, M.D., M.P.H.; James McLoughlin, M.D.; Christine Ormsby, M.D.; Amila Orucevic, M.D., Ph.D. At the conclusion of the course, the participants should be able to summarize the latest advances in imaging techniques for the detection of breast cancer; incorporate current guidelines and recent data on lymphoscintigraphy; describe the philosophy and principles of palliative care that can be integrated across settings to effect quality of life; describe the role of breast cancer localization: seeds vs. wire localization; explain the clinical and pathologic diagnostic criteria for breast cancer; and explore integrative modalities as adjunctive therapy for the breast cancer survivor.

The cost to attend is $100 for physicians and $50 for PAs, NPs, Nurses and Allied Health Professionals. This conference is jointly provided by the UT Graduate School of Medicine and the UT Medical Center Cancer Institute and is approved for AMA PRA Category 1 credit. Learn more and register.
