Anesthesiology Faculty Contribute to Best-Selling Medical Reference

Dr. James NeutensSeveral members of the Anesthesiology Department at the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine contributed to the recently published Faust’s Anesthesiology Review. This 4th edition publication is a medical reference book used by anesthesiology residents and is the best-selling review book in the field. Robert Craft, MD, Professor, Residency Program Director and Vice Chair, became involved with its publication 21 years ago when he was a fellow at the Mayo Clinic. For this edition, he was asked to include other members of his faculty. Contributors with Dr. Craft are Daniel Bustamante, MD; Craig Combs, MD; Jerry Epps, MD; Michael Hosking, MD; Patrick McConville, MD; and Kip Robinson, MD, covering the chapters “Evaluation of the Coagulation System,” “Anesthesia for the Sitting Position,” “Type, Screen and Crossmatch of Red Blood Cells,” “Needle Block of the Eye,” “Central Regulation of Ventilation,” “Acute Renal Failure,” and “Hemolytic Transfusion Reactions.”
