Dr. Steven Rider Named Chief of Neurology

Dr. Steven P. Rider, Clinical Assistant Professor, will take over as Division Chief of Neurology in the Department of Medicine, effective July 1. Dr. Rider completed a fellowship in neurology at the Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis, Indiana, and completed his fellowship in EEG/Epilepsy at the same institution. Dr. Rider has practiced with the Knoxville Neurology Clinic since July 2005. He has published his research in The Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics. He has been actively involved in resident training and has given numerous resident lectures. Rajiv Dhand, MD, Chair, Medicine, welcomes Dr. Rider to his new role as division chief and looks forward to many years of productive leadership in the department.
