Fourth Year Electives

Students of the UT College of Medicine, Memphis

The University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine (UTGSM) offers over 50 elective courses to the fourth-year students. One-month rotations are available in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Surgery, OB/GYN, Anesthesiology, Emergency Medicine, Medical Genetics, Radiology, and Pathology. Registration for rotations at UTGSM is included as part of the overall scheduling process in Memphis. The Academic Course Catalog can be found in Olsen.

Faculty members of the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine are available to prepare Dean's Letters, Chairman's letters, letters of recommendation, etc. as needed for the USMLE Match process. Support staff and library facilities are available for students to assist in completion of ERAS requirements.

Students are eligible for a VolCard with which they can access all facilities and programs of the main campus of the University of Tennessee, including athletic events . As soon as fourth-year registration is complete, students should contact the Office Of Undergraduate Medical Education at UTGSM to discuss housing options.
