In order to foster inter-campus partnerships for research in human health, the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine and University of Tennessee Knoxville will be hosting the second TINY TED TALKS (“T3”) AT UT collaboration event. The T3 event provides GSM and UTK faculty with an opportunity to interact, present novel research ideas related to human health and biomedical sciences, and forge new partnerships.

This year, the T3 event will be accompanied by a “Pre-Seed” funding program that is intended to support new novel research projects and collaborations involving two or more schools or colleges in the area of human health and biomedical research. Although not necessary, applicants for this program are strongly encouraged to attend and participate in the T3 event. Notices related to the Pre-Seed Program will follow.
There will be approximately 16 rapid (4-minute, 3-slide) presentations that will provide interested faculty with an opportunity present novel ideas and potential research projects.. We are committed to increasing interactions between all faculty, as part of a research and entrepreneurial initiative in the field of biomedical research.

Abstract Submission Process
Abstracts should describe an unmet need in an area of biomedical research for which a collaboration may provide a solution or lead to submission of substantive funding applications. If you would like to submit an abstract to be considered for presentation at the T3 event, please download and complete the Abstract Application Form.
Completed forms, in PDF format, should be submitted via email to the GSM Assistant Director of Research, Jennifer Ferris MSHS, CCRC (JFerris@utmck.edu ).
All submissions will be evaluated by an ad hoc review committee and a maximum of sixteen abstracts will be selected for presentation..
