Perioperative Medicine Program Fellowship
Fellow Typical Weekly Schedule
6:45am - 4:30pm clinical work 4 days per week
6:45am - 11:45am clinical work 1 day per week
11:45am - 4:30pm protected non-clinical time 1 day per week
Non-clinical time protected for:
- PEMBA responsibilities (e.g. assignments, group projects, etc.)
- Clinical enrichment activities (e.g. TTE/TEE training, committee meetings, novel regional anesthesia procedures, POCUS, etc.)
- Leadership and physician advocacy development
- Quality Improvement projects
- Clinical care pathway development
- Medical Simulations
- Physician Wellness
There will not be any call, weekend, or night clinical work requirements. The PEMBA program includes online distance learning sessions of three-hour duration on most Saturday mornings (January-December) as well as four separate week-long residence periods hosted on-site on the business school campus. These requirements are factored into the Non-Clinical Time work load. Clinical work includes personally performing anesthesia and/or medical direction of 1 - 4 anesthetizing locations.
Medical Simulation
