Welcome to Knoxville and the UT Medical Center community! The UTRA is a social organization for the spouses of UT residents and fellows. We are a diverse group of women- working moms, stay at home moms, career women, even students, that all share in the unique lifestyle of resident life. We currently have about 30 members from nearly every residency department.

We get together often for a variety of activities, including Ladies Night Out, playgroups, volunteer activities, scrapbooking, and family activities. We are committed to two things: supporting each other through the difficulties of residency, and promoting family activities and a family-friendly atmosphere within the UT residency community.

The UTRA is a sister organization of KAMA, the Knoxville Academy of Medicine Alliance. KAMA is the spouses organization for the Knoxville and Tennessee Academies of Medicine. We are pleased to be affiliated with these well established charitable groups, and we often take part in their activities. We are also recognized and supported by the UT Graduate School of Medicine.

More than anything, we are a group of women who enjoy getting together to share in the trials of resident life. We feel very fortunate to have a group such as UTRA to bring us together! We have found that getting together with someone that can relate can be very therapeutic!
