Jared Lundy Moss, MD, has been selected as Chair of the LSU Health Shreveport, Department of Urology, effective July 1, 2026.
Dr. Moss, a Shreveport native, has served as a Clinical Associate Professor of Urology at LSUHS and brings strong clinical experience and a commitment to patient-centered care.
He earned his Doctor of Medicine from LSU Health Shreveport where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his urology residency and general surgery internship at the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine in Knoxville, followed by a fellowship in Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine.
As a specialist in men's health, Dr. Moss's clinical focus includes male fertility, erectile dysfunction, hypogonadism and advanced microsurgical techniques such as vasectomy reversals and sperm retrieval procedures. He is recognized as the first male reproductive specialist serving the Ark-La-Tex. His clinical and academic interests include fertility preservation, particularly for cancer patients, as well as innovative therapies for male reproductive and sexual health conditions.
Dr. Moss has contributed to the field through peer-reviewed publications, national presentations and participation in clinical trials. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Urological Association, the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, and the Sexual Medicine Society of North America. His excellence in patient care has been recognized with multiple honors, including the Ochsner LSU Health Patient Experience Award and the Guardian Angel Award for Excellence in Patient Care.
