Education and Research Fund
David Adam Hecht Memorial Memorial Young Hope Fund and the Division of Surgical Rehabilitation Gift Fund
 The David Adam Hecht Memorial Young Hope Fund and the Division of Surgical Rehabilitation Gift Fund has been established by faculty, friends and alumni of the Department of Surgery. The goal of the gift fund is to provide the Chairman, faculty and residents with additional resources to insure continued excellence in patient care, education and research.
Gifts made to the fund may be utilized for the following:
- Purchase of equipment to improve the program's ability to provide excellence in clinical care, education and research
- Purchase of books, journals, and other educational materials
- Provide travel, lodging, honoraria and other expenses in conjunction with a visiting lectureship or professorship
- Provide supplementary educational programs for residents including travel, lodging, registration and other expenses
- Provide initial and "seed" research grants for faculty members, residents or others as selected by the departmental selection committee
- For other purposes in furtherance of the Department of Surgery's objectives of excellence in patient care, education and research, consistent with University policy
