Third-Year Clerkships and Fourth-Year Electives for UT College of Medicine, Memphis students are offered at the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine (UTGSM) . Visiting students from other medical schools may also complete fourth-year electives at UTGSM.
Approximately one-third of each graduating class of the College of Medicine, Memphis, will spend time at UTGSM during their medical school careers. On average, 25 medical students are working in Knoxville each month. Fourth-year electives are also available to students visiting from other medical schools.
Training at UTGSM offers students an excellent opportunity to become familiar with the UTGSM faculty and programs. Many former students accept residency positions at the UT Graduate School of Medicine after graduation.
