The Medical Simulation Fellowship at the University of Tennessee is a two-year Fellowship program. Applicants for this fellowship must have received an allopathic or osteopathic doctorate of medicine and completed a residency program. Applicants may be from the following specialties: Surgery, Anesthesia, Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics, Family Practice, Oral Maxillary Facial Surgery, and Obstetrics/Gynecology. Foreign medical graduates are welcome to apply, however they must have current medical licensure to practice within the United States.
Application process is multifactorial and includes the following documents: Letter of Interest, Personal Statement (2 page maximum) regarding how applicant's future career will utilize skills and knowledge mastered in this program, Letter of Support from current Chair/Director (at time of application), three letters of recommendation, proof of graduation from medical school (Transcript and Diploma), USMLE scores (1, 2, 3), and documentation of medical licensure.
Applications will be accepted between September 1, 2016 - December 1, 2016 for Fellowship position beginning July 1, 2017. No exceptions will be made to the application deadline. Fellowship application is only complete after all documents are received. Incomplete applications will not be evaluated for interview.
Potential Fellows will be interviewed between November 1, 2016 and December 31, 2016. Applicants will be notified of selection by January 2017.
