The seminar is entitled, "Dietary choline and incidence of coronary heart disease (CHD): An epidemiology research study in the Athrosclerosis Risk in Communities (ARIC) population. Lecture Series Begins Thursday, February 2, 2006

The University of Tennessee Comparative and Experimental Medicine Program, College of Veterinary Medicine and the UT Graduate School of Medicine are sponsoring the lecture series, "Molecular, Clinical and Public Health Epidemiology." This session will be held Thursday, February 2, 2006, at noon in the Wood Auditorium at UT Medical Center. Alan R. Hinman, MD, MPH, Public Health Informatics Institute in Decatur, GA will present the lecture, "Global Polio Eradication and Measles Control."

Dr. Hinman is a Senior Public Health Scientist at the Task Force of Child Survival and Development, which is affiliated with Emory University. He works with the Public Health Informatics Institute, a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation-funded program, to foster development of integrated preventive health information systems. He also works with the PARTNERS TB Control Program, funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which addresses multidrug-resistant TB in Peru and globally.
