Residents attend the world-renowned American Institute for Radiologic Pathology Course (AIRP) during their third year (expenses paid). This course provides a comprehensive and unique pathology underpinning to medical imaging. This is perhaps the single most rewarding experience in a radiology resident's training.

FOUR-WEEK COURSE
The mission of the American Institute for Radiologic Pathology (AIRP), sponsored by the American College of Radiology (ACR), is to deliver unequalled training to radiology residents, fellows, and practicing radiologists from around the world.
The AIRP program continues the unique radiology training experience for residents and fellows formerly held at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology's Walter Reed facility. The AIRP four-week Radiologic Pathology Correlation Course offers excellent training for radiology residents, fellows and practicing radiologists from around the world:
- Comprehensive review of radiologic imaging offered five times per year
- Radiologic presentation of a broad range of diseases and their pathological basis from all organ systems and imaging modalities
- Expert faculty from some of the most prestigious radiology programs in the U.S.

The four-week Radiologic Pathology Correlation Course is designed to aid residents and fellows in their endeavors to achieve excellence in the technologically advancing specialty of radiology, by employing radiologic-pathologic correlation in the identification of disease.
The course fulfills training requirements for more than 310 radiology residency programs. The Radiologic Pathology Correlation Course is a comprehensive review of radiologic imaging with pathologic correlation providing more than 150 hours of didactic instruction and case seminars. The course is taught by eminent radiology faculty and numerous distinguished visiting professors and is organized into eight separate sections: gastrointestinal radiology, genitourinary radiology, musculoskeletal radiology, neuroradiology, pediatric radiology, cardiovascular radiology, breast imaging, and thoracic radiology.
