UTGSM Adds Three Core M3 Medical Student Clerkships

The UT Health Science Center College of Medicine recently approved three new clerkships for the UT Graduate School of Medicine to implement in May for third year medical students. The approval of the new clerkships, often called rotations, in pediatrics, psychiatry and neurology, means the Graduate School of Medicine can now offer a full schedule and allow the students to remain in Knoxville to complete their medical school experience. Dr. Metheny Develops Programs Through Fulbright for Colombian University

William Metheny, PhD, Assistant Dean, Graduate Medical and Dental Education, recently returned from Cali, Colombia, where he spent six weeks as a Fulbright Specialist, initiating programs at La Escuela Nacional del Deporte (the National School of Sports) designed to promote flexibility and integration within the school's curriculum. The Board of Visitors Welcomes New Members

The UT Graduate School of Medicine formed a Board of Visitors in 2009 to advise and assist the Dean in strategic planning, the development and implementation of short- and long-term goals, community outreach and service, and the garnering of financial support for education, discovery and healing.
