State of the University Celebration
University of Tennessee President Dr. John D. Petersen will address all university employees at a "State of the University Celebration," on Tuesday, September 19, at 11 a.m. [Read email from Dr. Petersen to all UT faculty and staff.]
Via a two-way simulcast, Dr. Petersen will involve all employees of all campuses, institutes and units across the state to learn more about the university's future. In Knoxville, the event will be held at 11 a.m., EDT, at the Thompson-Boling Assembly Center and Arena. Transportation will be provided from the UT Conference Center and UT Agricultural Campus beginning at 10 a.m. and immediately following the event. There will be refreshments and door prizes such as athletic tickets and gift certificates. Everyone is encouraged to attend this historic university celebration!

Bertoli to Present Medicine Grand Rounds
The Department of Medicine, UT Graduate School of Medicine, will present a Grand Rounds lecture on Tuesday, September 16, 2006, entitled, "X-Ray Therapy to CyberKnife Stereotactic Robotic Radiosurgery: A Century of Progress." The lecture will be given by Robert Bertoli, MD, Clinical Associate Professor, Department of Radiation Oncology, UTGSM, at 8:00 a.m. in Morrison's Conference Room at UT Medical Center. The session objectives are to discuss the evolution of radiosurgery and review experience with the CyberKnife Stereotactic Radiosurgery system.
