Dr. Pam Peterson Mobley Named 2023 Outstanding Alumna of the Year by the East Tennessee State University Quillen College of Medicine

Dr. Pam Peterson Mobley, an esteemed alumna of the UTGSM Department of Anesthesiology residency program, has been named the 2023 Outstanding Alumna of the Year by the East Tennessee State University Quillen College of Medicine. This prestigious award recognizes her remarkable volunteer work in the Bahamas in 2019. Dr. Mobley's journey began with a childhood aspiration to become a doctor, inspired by her mother's diabetic condition. Her early training in medical response led to her saving her mother's life at just 5 years old. Together with her husband, Dr. Ed Mobley, they returned to their roots in Erwin, Tennessee, teaching at ETSU's medical school. Dr. Mobley's volunteerism extends to organizations like Second Harvest Food Bank and Meals on Wheels, and her dedication during the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian earned her this well-deserved honor.
