Graduate School of Medicine Entrance Renovations

The lobby for the GSM building (just outside the library) will be undergoing renovation Monday, Dec. 5  through Friday - December 9.  The renovations will improve the entrance into the building for employees and visitors  through improved lighting, signage, and a built-in LCD screen with daily announcements of lectures, meetings and news for GSM.

During most of the week of renovations, you may continue to use this entrance, but everyone should exercise additional caution due to the presence of workers and equipment.

On Tuesday, Dec. 6, however, the lobby area will be unavailable while the old flooring is removed and replaced.  Therefore, on that day please use one of the alternate entrances into the building (listed at the bottom)

If you are expecting visitors to the building during this time, please advise them about the construction and recommend an alternate route or meet them outside the building.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Alternative entrances to GSM building on Tuesday, Dec. 6

(1)  The door into the library basement (which is normally locked from the outside) will be available on Tuesday, Dec. 6.  You can enter through this door and go up to the library or  to the elevator or stairs for access to other floors of the building.

(2)  The side entrance (facing the HLVI building) will be available with access via the stairs to other parts of the building.

(3)  The main entrance to University Family Physicians (double glass doors) will be available.  However, please use this only when necessary in order to minimize the disruption to this clinical area.

(4)  The basement entrance (near the vending machines) will be open and available with access via stairs and elevators to floors.

(5)  The entrance from the back parking lot will be available with access via stairs to all floors.
