Today, the new design of the GSM web site has been launched.  This specific design is required for  UT colleges, departments and offices .  By changing the design of the GSM Web site, we ensure:

  • A  consistent image: Every communication from the university reflects upon the institution as a whole. It is important that messages from various internal entities all build upon one another to project a consistent image.
  • Our audiences can identify with each college, department, and office : A consistent visual identity helps eliminate confusion in target audiences in an increasingly competitive market.
  • Our unity of purpose is shown : The University is a very broad, multifaceted institution with a huge variety of interests. Visual consistency relays that although large, the university is a unified community, an attractive image to potential faculty, staff, and students.
  • Communication resources  are used efficiently: The various entities within UT spend a   tremendous amount  of money on communication. Using the templates saves time and allows you to focus more on the strategy and content of your site and less on the visuals and technology.
  • Our Alliance with University Health System is visible to the Web visitor:   As before, visitors can easily move between the hospital and the Graduate School of Medicine's Web sites.
Over 850 pages of information make up the GSM Web site and  over 1200 individual users to visit each day.  We hope that the new design will provide pleasant experience for all of our visitors.  As always, your feedback is welcomed. Contact the GSM Web Master.
