UTGSM pays tribute to Dr. Freeman L. Rawson
Please join the Department of Medicine for a tribute to Dr. Rawson, Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at 8:00 a.m. in the Morrison's Conference Room. A taped presentation by Dr. Rawson, "50 Years of Medicine" will be shown. Colleagues of Dr. Rawson will also speak. Dr. Rawson passed away on December 24, 2003.

Jo M. Kendrick, MSN, publishes third edition of textbook, Diabetes in Pregnancy, 2004, March of Dimes Nursing Module.
"The module provides perinatal nurses with the information to guide comprehensive nursing care and education of women with pregestational diabetes before conception and during the perinatal period, " says Kendrick. Kendrick serves as a Clinical Instructor in the UT Graduate School of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology , Adjunct Clinical Instructor for the University of Tennessee College of Nursing and Clinical Assistant Professor for the Vanderbilt School of Nursing in Nashville. She has served on the editorial board of the Journal of Obstetric, Gynecologic and Neonatal Nursing, serves on the board of the Journal of Perinatal and Neonatal Nursing and is a reviewer for MCN, the American Journal of Maternal/Child Nursing. Kendrick has published extensively in the area of women's health and diabetes and presents locally and nationally. The textbook is available for loan at Preston Medical Library.
