Librarian-Mediated Computer Literature Searches
The professional library staff is trained in searching PubMed and the National Library of Medicine's databases. PubMed provides access to bibliographic information that includes MEDLINE and more.
MEDLINE covers the international literature on biomedicine, including allied health fields, biological and physical sciences, humanities, and information science as related to medicine and health care. Information is indexed from approximately 3,900 journals published worldwide. In addition to MEDLINE, the library accesses specialized databases in the fields of Health Administration, Toxicology, Cancer, Population Studies, Medical Ethics, AIDS and more.
