Computer Workstations
The Preston Medical Library has computer workstations available
for all library users. All workstations have Internet connections.
The library staff provides orientation and education in use of the
Internet and the electronic
databases . A collection of manuals is maintained for the available
software programs and can be found by searching the library's
catalog. The training laboratory has eight computers and may
be scheduled for classes.
The library also provides wireless access to the
Internet using your own PDA or personal computer.
Patient families are welcome to use the library computers.
Time is limited to one hour per day per person. Please read our
computer use policy.
Computer Laboratory
The computer laboratory in the Preston Medical Library
is available to UT Graduate School of Medicine & UT Medical
Center staff use only. Computers with CD Rom reader/writer or DVD
drives and scanners are available during library hours. Software
includes Microsoft Office applications. These computers also have
Internet access.
Computers Available for Checkout
The Library has LCD Projectors and laptop computers available for checkout. This equipment circulates to UTGSM faculty, resident & academic departments only.
