Syncing

Syncing (or syncronizing) your computer and your Palm helps you to make the most of Palm technology. You may use the software that came with your Palm (the Palm Desktop) or other software such as Microsoft Outlook.

When installing the software on the computer for syncing, you will be asked to choose which program to run. Please note that it works best to sync from only one computer.

You may also choose (in the Palm Desktop Custom options) which items to sync. For example, if you do not want e-mail stored on your Palm, you can choose to "do nothing" during syncronization.

Syncing is also crucial during Palm software installation. We'll discuss that in more detail a little later in the module.
