To activate the on-screen keyboard, tap on the area highlighted in purple (in the above picture) on the graffiti writing area. This keyboard works just like a typical keyboard. Tap on the "123" and "Int'l" to get more options.

An auxillary keyboard (picture on the right) may be purchased for the specific brand of Palm that you have. This foldable keyboard is good for taking notes at meetings or writing while traveling. [Photo from http://www.palm.com]
