Loansome Doc

LOANSOME DOC is an electronic link between the health care professional and the librarian. You can request articles from a designated LOANSOME DOC library via PubMed. First, you need to register for the service through Preston Medical Library. When you receive approval and our library identifier, please complete the registration process at the Loansome Doc site. Click on "enter you Library Identifier", located on the right side of the page.

Once you are registered, articles can be marked in PubMed using the check boxes in the results list. Click on the "send to" button, select "order" and your requests are sent to the library. Preston Medical Library will be glad to serve as the ordering library for any physician in the east Tennessee area, staff at the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine, or UT Medical Center. Fees apply to this service.

When our library receives your LOANSOME DOC request, the article will be copied for email delivery, mail delivery or pick up. If our library does not own the article and you indicate that you want the article forwarded to another library, the request will be electronically routed to other libraries in the system.
