Cancer.gov
The National Cancer Institute (NCI) Launches Redesigned, One-Stop
Cancer Resource Web Site! NCI says that Cancer.gov ( http://cancer.gov
) is a dramatically improved, easy-to-navigate Web site, and
a one-stop resource for cancer information. This includes
PDQ (Physician Data Query) . PDQ is NCI's comprehensive cancer
database. It contains peer-reviewed summaries on cancer treatment,
screening, prevention, genetics, and supportive care; a registry
of approximately 1,800 open and 12,000 closed cancer clinical trials
from around the world; and directories of physicians, professionals
who provide genetics services, and organizations that provide cancer
care.

The U.S. National Institutes of Health , through its National Library of Medicine , has developed ClinicalTrials.gov to provide patients, family members and members of the public current information about clinical research studies.

The National Library of Medicine has released a new resource focused on dietary supplements. The database iincludes information from the labels of over 2,000 brands of dietary supplements in the marketplace, including vitamins, minerals, herbs or other botanicals, amino acids, and other specialty supplements.
