Subscribing to Preston Medical Library
The Preston Medical Library offers annual library subscriptions
to individuals at a cost of $100.00. To apply, please complete the
Subscriber Registration

Ask
a Librarian - Email reference service.
Borrowing - Ability to check
out up to three items at a time.
Computer Resources - The Preston
Medical Library's computer workstations have Internet connections
and the capability to access the library's electronic resources.
The library also provides wireless access to the
Internet using your own PDA or personal computer.
Consumer
& Patient Health Information Services
Copy Service - Three self service printer/copiers
are located in the library at a cost of five cents per page. Photocopies
may be purchased with cash, check or billed to an account.
Information
Search and Reference - We can provide answers to specific
questions using print and electronic sources. Contact us via phone
(305-9525), email or use our literature
search request form.
Interlibrary Loan
- Books, journal articles, government publications, and other materials
that are not owned or are missing from the Preston Medical Library's
collection may be borrowed or photocopied from other libraries.
Copies can be delivered via email. Fees applicable including copyright.
Librarian-Mediated Database Searches - The professional
library staff is trained in searching the National Library of Medicine's
PubMed
and other NLM
databases. Fees applicable. Request
a search
Loansome Doc - First, you need to register
for the service. LoansomeDoc
is an electronic link between your search results in PubMed
and the library. As you search PubMed you can order
articles from a designated LOANSOME DOC library (Preston Library).

- Preston Medical Library offers training classes in a variety of
topics. There is no charge to attend.
