Knoxville Area Health Sciences Library Consortium's (KAHSLC) mission is to promote better communication, sharing of resources, and continuing education among health sciences librarians in the Knoxville area.
Members, who come from academic, public, and special libraries, meet at least four times per year.

MEMBERSHIP
Membership is open to libraries with a health sciences focus. Libraries may be affiliated with hospitals, research institutions, health-related schools, or government agencies. Member institutions are represented by one or more delegates who cast vote(s) at meetings. An institution must have delegates present at two meetings per year before the institution is considered a full member of KAHSLC (per Bylaws).

Hello KAHSLC members,
Just a quick reminder that our next meeting is coming up on Wednesday, May 19th. We’ll be meeting in the UT Shade Garden on the AG/Vet campus from 11:30am-1:30pm. Here’s a quick rundown of the schedule:
11:30am-12:00pm brown bag lunch & socializing
12:00pm-1:2:45pm KAHSLC business meeting
12:45pm-1:30pm “Librarians Walk for Health” guided walking tour of the UT gardens

Peter Fernandez, our co-host with Ann Viera, has offered to provide parking passes in case all of the visitor spots are occupied.
The Shade Garden is relatively easy to locate. When you go through the main garden entrance the Shade Garden benches will be to your right.
If you haven’t already RSVP’d, please e-mail me at amckinney@southcollegetn.edu to give us an idea of how many parking passes we may need. If you have any questions, comments, or anything you would like to see on the meeting agenda please feel free to e-mail me those as well.
