Preston Medical Library provides exceptional reference, research, and instruction for UT Graduate School of Medicine (UTGSM) faculty, residents, students, and physicians, and outreach to the community. The library is committed to ensuring access to clinical information (Mission and vision). The Library is a member of the University of Tennessee Library Council, a coordinating body that acts through consensus around issues of common interest to all UT campus libraries.

In addition to Preston Medical Library's regular operating hours, UT Graduate School of Medicine (UTGSM) and University of Tennessee Medical Center staff have 24-hour access to the library with a valid identification badge. The library is open to everyone during staffed hours.
