Program Performance
Program policies are outlined in the residency handbook with is reviewed at the beginning of the residency with the Program Director.
Resident meet on a monthly basis with the Program Director to address program issues and review compliance with duty hours restrictions.
Residents are encouraged to participate in Program Improvement Projects. In 2004, residents performed two projects: 1) review of preventive health measures performed in Medicine Clinic 2) review of appropriate cessation of erythropoetin use on inpatient wards.
An anonymous annual review of the program is completed by each resident at the end of each PGY year and reviewed by the key faculty to help with program improvement.
