M. David Stockton, M.D., M.P.H.
Dr. David Stockton is a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Medicine and completed residency in the Knoxville program. He maintained a solo practice in Sewanee, Tennessee for six years while pursuing his teaching interest on a part-time basis. In 1987, he joined the residency as a full-time faculty member. Dr. Stockton's received his master of public health, health policy and administration degree from UT Knoxville. He is board certified in both family practice and occupational medicine and is the director of the Division of Preventive Medicine. He also has an interest in Aging and has a certificate of added qualification (CAQ) in geriatrics. Some of his other professional interests include, medical informatics, rural medicine, and health promotion.
