Ambulatory Services provided by University Family Physicians include:

In-house X-ray and Lab services
Fully Integrated Electronic Health Record
Pharmacy consultation for complex medicine management
Same Day Appointments and urgent care for illness and injury

Primary Care for adults and children

  • Pediatrics and well-child care with one in four visits being pediatric patients
  • Adolescent medicine
  • Adult and geriatric health care
  • Well woman care of all ages, including family planning

Pregnancy, Prenatal and Newborn care

  • Full spectrum maternity support, including dedicated OB nurse coordinator
  • OB/GYN care, including ultrasound and non-stress testing
  • Delivery at University of TN Medical Center, often by your own doctor

Chronic Disease Management through a team approach, including:

  • Coumadin Management
  • Diabetes
  • Hypertension
  • Pulmonary disease and smoking cessation

Outpatient procedures and services, including:

  • IUD insertion
  • Abnormal Pap smear management, including colposcopy and LEEP
  • Vasectomy
  • Circumcision
  • Obstetrical and musculoskeletal ultrasound
  • Mole and cyst removals, skin biopsies
  • Joint and soft tissue injections
  • Toenail removal
  • EKG and Exercise Stress Testing
  • Audiometry
  • Casting and splinting
  • Pulmonary Function testing

Mental health care and counseling
Sports Medicine and Sports Physicals
Coordination of at-home or nursing-home care as needed
Coordination of specialists for more serious and complex illnesses

Hospitalization at University of Tennessee Medical Center by the UFP Inpatient Team, if needed
