Dental implant therapy is the closest thing to the natural dentition practitioners can provide for their patients. Diagnosis and treatment planning, in conjunction with new technologies, help determine the best placement and use of dental implants. It is good to consider the surgical and restorative needs of the patient, as well as the risks, long-term prognosis and durability of the treatment. When issues arise with dental implant therapy, it is important to be familiar with potential complications. When there are complications, it is equally as important to know how to address them. This course provides state of the art knowledge about dental implant therapy that will help lead to better care for your patients.
At the conclusion of this program, the participants should be able to:
Discuss the current treatment guidelines in the diagnosis and treatment planning of the patient in need of dental implants
Assess the advantages and disadvantages of guided surgery and its future in the treatment of the patient in need of dental implants
Evaluate how to address the pitfalls and complications that could occur with any patient undergoing dental implant treatment
Fees include all program sessions, access to online program materials, continuing education credit, continental breakfast, breaks, lunch on Friday, and parking at the UT Medical Center.
