Primary care physicians and physician extenders are often the first points of contact for patients, regardless of the nature of their problem. Providers face increasing demands to recognize and treat conditions from HIV to eye issues, understand when to refer patients to specialists, communicate those treatments and services to insurance providers and keep up-to-date with the rapid changes in medical technology. Changes in Medicare RVUs and quality measures will be addressed, as well as prescribing guidelines for medications such as mBAs.
