Vital Signs: Advances in Heart Lung Vascular Disease
10 th Annual Update (Formerly Cardiology Update)
November 11-12, 2005
UT Conference Center
Knoxville , Tennessee

Q: What do you get when you combine a great conference setting, expanded educational topics and CME credit with Tennessee football, a personal talk with the coach, barbecue and cruising the Tennessee River?

A: This year's Heart Lung Vascular Conference: "Vital Signs: Advances in Heart Lung Vascular Disease!"

We're pulling out the red carpet to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the fall cardiology conference. We've expanded the topics to include recent treatments in heart, lung and vascular diseases . We're bringing back our first Friday evening speaker - Coach Phillip Fulmer. Plus, we're continuing our tradition of cruising the river before the UT game, this year UT's Homecoming with the University of Memphis Tigers .

Come join us for a terrific educational event, opportunities to network with colleagues, and some Big Orange football.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

Identify new strategies for evaluation of suspected pulmonary embolism

Learn about acute anticoagulation strategies in myocardial infarction

Determine how to identify patients for device therapy in congestive heart failure.

Discuss current recommendations on the use of Cox-2 inhibitors in cardiac patients.
