Humility in Psychiatric Leadership: A Path to Medical Authority
Attendees will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the importance of personal humility to the practice of ethical medicine, including the establishment of ethical boundaries, confidentiality, informed consent, professional distance, ethical practice management, and interprofessional ethics.
Participants will be able to identify the importance of ethical behavior, and therefore of humility, to the establishment of psychiatric authority, as evidenced by the failures of coercion, and by the successes of cooperation and recovery made more readily accessible through educated and supported choice.
