Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Provider Course

Registration priority is provided for UT physicians and residents up to two weeks prior to the conference.
Course Description
The emphasis of the PALS Provider Course is the recognition and management of respiratory failure and hypovolemic shock as antecedents to pediatric cardio-pulmonary arrest.
Participants must be able to demonstrate mastery of Basic Life Support skills at the BLS Skills Station on the first day of the course. Pediatric BLS will not be taught during the PALS course.
The American Heart Association PALS manual and other pertinent material will be provided. Registered participants must make arrangements to secure the manual and information packet from UT Continuing Medical Education. Call 865-305-9190 or contact CME at cme@tennessee.edu to make arrangements.
The pretest must be completed and turned in on the first day.
