All departments and organizations seeking to certify Grand Rounds, Serial Conferences and similar activities as continuing medical education in the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2005, must ensure a coordinator attends one of these free sessions.
Registration is free but required to reserve your set of course materials.
CEUs
This activity is designated for .3 CEUs.
Coordinators will learn:
- How to plan and certify activities as CME
- CME standards required by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME)
- Ways to organize and evaluate a series
- Procedures to schedule speakers and arrange travel
- Where to find and how to secure grant funding
- Visiting faculty resources
- Document compliance and credit recording
