In 2004, medical personnel in Tennessee reported only 2.5% of the child abuse cases recorded in the state. Ten to 15 of every 1,000 children in Tennessee are victims of abuse or maltreatment. This conference will help professionals discern abuse, overcome their barriers to reporting it and learn ways to prevent this attack on the most vulnerable members of our society.
