You are invited to attend March Madness Spring Training to learn about the latest in diabetes treatment and the management of diabetes.
Our team of experts in the field of diabetes management in the primary care office will lead a strategy-packed one-day training session at the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame that will highlight diabetes management in the following areas:
- Compare anti-hyperglycemic medications through clinical data
- Reduce barriers of insulin initiation
- Examples of educational content, materials, and techniques for patient education in diabetes self-management
- Motivation for healthcare providers to meet the challenge of preparing patients for self-management
- Reimbursement issues for diabetes education
Who should attend?
Team Owners:
Regional primary care physicians, internists, family medicine physicians, others
Coaches:
Dieticians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, patient support assistants and other interested healthcare providers who coach Players (a.k.a. patients) in the management of diabetes.
Team Owners are encouraged to choose one or more Coaches from their offices and attend this valuable training together. In fact, when a Team Owner registers to attend, he or she can bring along a Coach for free!
The registration fee for this educational conference is subsidized by a generous educational grant by Aventis Pharmaceuticals, a member of the sanofi-aventis Group, and LifeScan.
