This second annual conference updates attendees on up-to-date information about managing diabetes and using a team approach to help patients fight the disease. The D Team, comprised of physician, nurse, physician assistant, health educator, dietitian and patient, is a powerful force that can change lives.
At the conclusion of this conference, participants should be able to change their practices by using knowledge of
- Current clinical practice recommendations from the American Diabetes Association
- Solutions to difficult problems of blood glucose management using multiple insulin regimens
- Drugs released in 2005-2006 for use in treatment of diabetes
- State, federal and private resources to assist patients who cannot purchase needed medication
- Practical, doable dietary advice for patients
