Primary care providers in the Southeast are charged with addressing a wide range of issues, including being prepared to recognize many common and less-common problems, diagnose, and treat many diseases, and understand appropriate indications for use of diagnostic testing and treatment modalities. In 2012, Tennesseans made 381.8 office visits per 100 adults, above the national average of 263.9. Due to these realities, primary care providers must remain knowledgeable and current across a vast breadth of information. The Sixth Annual Medicine Conference will address new developments and trends in relevant areas such as urinary incontinence, osteoporosis, low testosterone, vertigo, sinusitis, abnormal EKGs and ECHO, the opioid crisis, and quality reporting measures. This course is designed for healthcare practitioners in family medicine, general practice, internal medicine, and primary care.
At the conclusion of this program, the participants should be able to
