This endowed lectureship will focus on the history and evolution of minimally invasive techniques, management of foregut disease including laparoscopic and endoscopic management of GERD and achalasia including specific technical considerations including fundoplication and obesity. It will also cover diverticular disease management including the details of types of surgical interventions and current techniques for optimizing patient outcomes related to pathway integration.
This course is designed for healthcare professionals practicing in Primary Care, Internal Medicine and Gastrointestinal General Surgery.
At the conclusion of this program the participant should be able to
A limited number of guest rooms have been reserved for conference participants at the Hilton Downtown at the discounted rate of $90 plus tax on Wednesday and Thursday, October 8 and 9 and $143.65 plus tax for Friday, October 10 and Saturday, October 11. There is a two-night minimum stay required for Friday and Saturday nights.
As part of your registration fee, you are eligible to receive up to two complimentary tickets for the October 11 football game - UT Chattanooga vs. UT Knoxville. Tickets must be accepted and/or purchased with your registration fee. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis at the conference registration desk. Additional tickets may be purchased while supplies last. Cancellation of attendance at the conference will result in forfeit of the complimentary tickets and refund of any that were purchased.
This social event occurs after the adjournment of the conference on Friday and are separate from the CME-certified activity.
