Dental professionals have ever-emerging options for treatment, and they must continue to learn the latest advancements in the field in order to provide the best possible care.
The first half of the 2009 John E. Sullivan, D.D.S. Endowed Lecture will review
- the mechanism of action of recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein (rhBMP-2/ACS)
- indications and contraindications for use of growth factor and
- the use of growth factor in maxillary sinus lifts, clefts and defects.
The second half of the lecture will explore
- the practical benefits of the cone beam CT (CBCT) scans and CBCT-guided implant placement surgery and
- use of CAD/CAM in a variety of instances.
